Abstract
A novel samarium hydroxyl sulfate, [Sm(en)(μ3-OH)(μ3-SO4)]∞, was synthesized by a solvothermal method and the structure of the coordination polymer takes a diamond-like network assembled by tetranuclear cubane-like [Sm4(en)4(μ3-OH)4]8+ clusters and image ion bridges. This structure is unfamiliar in lanthanide network, although some coordination polymers of cubane-like [Ln4(μ3-OH)4]8+ clusters have been reported.
