Abstract :
A new anhydrous Mn(II) acetate, γ-Mn(CH3COO)2, has been synthesized on a large scale under solvothermal condition and magnetic measurements show that it behaves as a weak ferromagnet (canted antiferromagnet) with TC = 40 K with a glassy behavior.
