Abstract
A macrocyclic ligand with two 1,5-diazacyclooctane (daco) subunits joined by two ethylene bridges (1,4,8,11-tetraazatricyclo[9.3.3.34,8]eicosane) has been prepared and characterized. Each of the daco subunits takes on the chair/boat conformation in the free ligand.
