Direct synthesis of macrocyclic VO2+ complex from cyclam (1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) with amino–amido groups and ESR studies

The reactivity of cyclam (1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) containing amino–amido groups with VO2+ was described. ESR spectral analysis evidences that VO2+ has rhombic structure and the four N-coordination sites are not symmetric. ESR simulations agree well with the experimental parameters.
