Multi-π, π stacked interaction between planar chelate rings in the crystal structure of dichloro(2-hydroxy-1-naphtaldehyde-3-methylisothiosemicarbazonato)iron(III) hemiethanol solvate

Dichloro(2-hydroxy-1-naphtaldehyde-3-methylisothio semicarbazonato) iron(III) contains structural fragments capable for formation of hydrogen bonds and π stacking interactions. The analysis of intermolecular interactions in the crystal structure indicates the significance of a unique multistacked π, π interaction between five and six membered chelate rings of adjacent molecules in chains extended along the b axis.
