Abstract :
A novel dimeric polyoxotungstate, [Cu(2,2′- bpy)3]4H2[Cu(H2O)4(As2W18O62)2] (2,2′-bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine) (1), has been synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, ESR, TG-DTA and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The title compound represents the first example of dimeric arsenotungstate based on Dawson-type polyanions, in which two image blocks are linked by one image fragment via Ot–Cu–Ot bridge.
