Synthesis and structure of dititanium-containing 10-tungstogermanate [{γ-GeTi2W10O36(OH)2}2(μ-O)2]8−

Dititanium-substituted dimeric tungstogermanate K8[{γ-GeTi2W10O36(OH)2}2(μ-O)2] · 32H2O (1) has been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and 183W NMR spectroscopy. Single-crystal X-ray analysis has been carried out on K8[{γ-GeTi2W10O36(OH)2}2(μ-O)2] · 32H2O which polyanion comprises two (γ-GeTi2W10O36) Keggin moieties linked by oxygen atoms, and leads to a sandwich-type structure with C2v symmetry.
