Abstract :
A lead(II) complex [Pb(Hfysh)2] (1) (H2fysh = furan-2-ylmethylene salicyloyl hydrazone) has been synthesized and characterized. The lead atom is in a holodirected eight-coordinated polyhedron. There are secondary Pb–O interactions that give rise to a novel 3D-diamond-like coordination network. The luminescent property of 1 in the solid state was investigated.
