Abstract :
The reaction of dimesitylborinic acid and sodium tert-butoxide in toluene afforded the partially deprotonated boroxide salt, [Na4(OB{mes}2)4(HOB{mes}2)2], which crystallized from hexane with a laddered Na4O4 motif containing a neutral, disubstituted borinic acid ligand.
