Molecular iron clusters, wheels and cages: Syntheses, structural aesthetics and magnetic properties

Structural features and synthetic strategies of iron clusters, wheels and cages of nuclearities from 6 to 64 are discussed. Synthetic methodologies are categorized in a few groups. Magnetic behaviours of the polynuclear iron species are also highlighted.
