Abstract :
A tetrapodal ligand, tetrakis[3-(carboxyphenyl)oxamethyl] methane acid (H4L), and its cadmium complex [Cd2L(H2O)2]n (1) were synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 displays a three-dimensional (3,6)-connected anatase topology with the Schläfli symbol (42.6)2(44.62.88.10). At room temperature, complex 1 exhibits a strong emission at 396 nm upon excitation at 320 nm.
