Abstract
A new three-dimensional porous Zinc(II) metal-organic framework [NH2Et2][Zn(BTC)]·H2O (1) was synthesized by the self-assembly of 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxy acid (H3BTC) and Zn(II) salt in diethylformamide (DEF), and characterized by single-crystal X-ray structure determination, thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray powder diffraction studies. The adsorption behavior shows that compound 1 has selective adsorption capacities of CO2 over N2 after the removal of the water molecules within the pores.
