Abstract :
Silver(I) coordination polymers, [Ag(bpba)(CF3SO3)]·0.5CH3CN (1) and [Ag2(bpba)2(NO3)2]·CH3CN·H2O (2) with bis(4-pyridyl)benzylamine (bpba) have been prepared and structurally characterized. 1 shows two-dimensional structure formed by the offset π–π stacking interactions between ladder-like chains, whereas 2 displays three-dimensional network linked by one-dimensional chains with 8-shaped. Different from 1, 2 appears a strong visible emission ranging from 450 to 550 nm.
