Abstract :
The title complex, [Ni(OPDA)Cl2]n (1, OPDA = o-Phenylenediamine), is synthesized hydrothermally. The single crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that compound 1 is a 2D honeycomb net, where the Ni(II) ions are bridged by both single and double Cl- bridges. Magnetic studies of it disclose an interesting diamagnetic-paramagnetic transition.
