Abstract :
A new 2D Dysprosium compound [Dy(3,4-qldc)(ox)0.5(H2O)2]n (1) (3,4-H2qldc = 3,4-Quinolinedicarboxylic acid) has been successfully constructed by the hydrothermal reaction of Dy(NO3)3 with 3,4-H2qldc, and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis, as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results reveal that complex 1 possesses a 2-D framework with 44 topology constructed from one-dimensional lanthanide-3,4-qldc zigzag chains and oxalate pillars. To the best of our knowledge, complex 1 represents the first example of the coordination compound containing 3,4-H2qldc as the multi-functional ligand. Moreover, compound 1 displays a certain photoluminescent property and high thermal stability.
