Abstract :
Reactions of Py(R)(Cdouble bond; length as m-dashO), hydrazine and hydrated ZnCl2 in the presence of NaClO4 salt afforded [Zn2(L1)4(μ-Cl)2](ClO4)2 (1, Rdouble bond; length as m-dashH), [Zn(L5)(Cl)](ClO4) (2, Rdouble bond; length as m-dashCH3), [Zn(L6)(Cl)](ClO4) (3, Rdouble bond; length as m-dashPh) and [Zn(L7)2Cl](ClO4) (4, Rdouble bond; length as m-dashPy), respectively in which the L5 and L6 are in-situ formed from oxidative coupling of two coordinated hydrazones with a MeOH and L7 is in-situ formed from oxidative cyclization of hydrazones.
