Abstract :
The reaction of HgBr2 and hexamethyltetramine (hmt) in a mixture of ethanol and water yields the coordination polymer [Hg(hmt)1/2Br2]∞. The skeleton frame of the complex exhibits a novel zeolite Li–A(BW) topological structure.
