Abstract :
The octanuclear cluster of silver(I) [Ag8(μ6-S){S2P(OC2H5)2}6] comprises eight Ag atoms located at the corners of a cube elongated along the threefold axis with a μ6-S atom in its center and each sulfur atom of the S2P(OC2H5)2 − ligand bridges two opposite sides of a cubic face formed by four Ag atoms. An infinite arrangement of {[Ag8(μ6-S){S2P(OC2H5)2}6]·H2O}∞ is formed along the c-axis.
