Abstract :
The cluster [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8F6] has been prepared from [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8(OSO2CF3)6] (2) and [Bu4N]F·xH2O, and was characterized by elemental analysis, X-ray crystallography and 19F NMR spectroscopy. The 19F NMR chemical shift was found to be solvent dependent, and the 1JWF value was determined to be 69 Hz. The series of clusters [Bu4N]2[W6Cl8X6] (X=F (1), OSO2CF3 (2), Cl (3), Br (4), I (5), NCO (6), NCS (7), NCSe (8)) were characterized by 183W NMR spectroscopy.
