Abstract
A new coordination compound 1 derived from 1,4-bis(nitronyl nitroxide)benzene and copper(II)hexafluoroacetylacetonate [Cu(hfac)2] was prepared and characterized. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a=13.134(3) Å, b=12.040(2) Å, c=17.520(4) Å, β=104.02(3)°, V=2688.0(10) Å3, Z=2. Its magnetic property was investigated with ESR and SQUID and the magnetic data were qualitatively analyzed in combination with its crystal structure.
