{(NBu4)2Mn[Cu(opba)]2}n: a new structural class among ‘opba’ bimetallic magnets

The crystal structure analysis of {(NBu4)2Mn[Cu(opba)]2}n reveals a new arrangement among the class of ‘opba’ molecular magnets. The structure consists of a one-dimensional zig-zag polymer chain with terminal opba groups. In the crystal the chains stack in a parallel manner with the interstitial spaces being occupied by (NBu4)+ cations.
