Abstract :
The hydrothermal reaction of silver nitrate with 4,4′-dipyridylamine (Hdpa) yields a new Ag(I) two-dimensional network material, [Ag(dpa)]. The structure is constructed from trigonal Ag(I) sites bound to two nitrogen donors from adjacent dpa− ligands and the central deprotonated nitrogen of the dpa− ligand. Crystal data: orthorhombic Cmcm, a=11.0160(8) Å, b=11.2683(8) Å, c=7.2619(5) Å, Z=16, V=901.4(1) Å3, Dcalc=2.049 g cm−3, R1=0.0308.
