Abstract :
Three novel dimeric vanadium μ-oxalate bridged complexes bearing methoxy (R = OMe) and ethoxy (R = OEt) versions of the CpPORCo− (η5-cyclopentadienyltris-(dialkylphosphito-κ1P) cobaltate(III), Kläui) ligand have been synthesized and presented along with previously synthesized complexes. Of specific interest are the dimeric vanadium(IV) complexes of each, [(CpPORCo)VO]2(μ-O4C2). The complexes were characterized via magnetic, spectral, and X-ray diffraction studies with a focus on electrochemical analysis.
