Studies on ferrocene derivatives. Part XVIII. Microwave irradiation effect on the ligand exchange reaction between ferrocene derivatives and aromatic compound

A significant accelerating effect by microwaves for the ligand exchange reaction of ferrocenes was observed. This effect is due to the absorption of microwave energy by the adduct between the ferrocene and the Lewis acid.
