Abstract :
Two new complexes [Ni2(μ-bipy)(oda)2(H2O)4]·2H2O (1) and {[EuNi2(oda)3(dpds)2 (H2O)4]·11H2O}n (2) (H2oda = oxydiacetic acid, bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine, dpds = 4,4′-dipyridyl disulfide) have been successfully synthesized and characterized by IR spectrum, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 is a bipy-bridged binuclear complex, which is further linked by O–H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular architecture. Compound 2 shows a oda- and dpds-bridged 2D layer structure, which is extended by O–H⋯O and O–H⋯S hydrogen bonds generating a 3D network. The solid-state fluorescence and magnetic properties for 1 have been discussed in detail.
