Abstract :
A microporous metal–organic framework, Ag2(fum)(H2fum)(pyz)2 (fum = fumarate, pyz = pyrazine), 1 was synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The structure is monoclinic, space group P21/c with unit cell dimensions a = 10.2886(6) Å, b = 7.2235(4) Å, c = 12.9076(9) Å, β = 109.836(1)°. The structure is built up of Ag2(fum)(H2fum) (fum = fumarate) square grids that are further linked by pyrazine to complete a twofold interpenetrated framework.
