Abstract :
Codeposition of Ca and B on various single crystal substrates was carried out by MBE technique. A new calcium boride CaB3 was epitaxially grown on Al2O3(0001) with substrate temperature image. Structural characterization by RHEED and X-ray diffraction indicated that CaB3 has a hexagonal cell with lattice parameters image and image. No evidence for superconductivity was found down to 2 K.
