Study on the standard system of the application of information technology in Chinaʹs construction industry

With the acceleration of the process of global revolution in science and technology led by information technology, the human society is in a gradual transition from an industrial society into an information society. As a new productivity with the greatest potential at the present age, information technology has undergone great development. The incessant innovation in technology has also urged people to make better use of it and apply advanced information technology to their own industry. This has already become a major trend in the informatization of various industries. In order to meet the requirements of the development of its own industry, the Chinese construction industry is strengthening its informatization and vigorously promoting the application of information technology. Standardization, as the basis of informatization, plays an important role in the sound development of informatization construction and ensures the successful promotion and application of information technology. It has become an important and pressing task to build up an appropriate standard system for the application of information technology, in view of which, this article has made an in-depth analysis of the present standardization status of information technology application and the problems in existing standard systems, put forward the principles for the standard of applying information technology within the construction industry and the established standard system for the application of information technology.
