Coaches Evaluation of Comprehensive Software for Teaching Soccer Tactics and Strategies

Problem statement: This study described advantages animation and simulation in education sport science. Multimedia caused to develop new learning methods. Learners can be get new knowledge with instrument that structural information show in several model. Big advantage training tactics and strategy through software is that players find coach intend with no misunderstanding, can be review coach plan immediately and by the interaction between coach and players, game plans is better reform and final. Approach: This is a pre-experimental research. Comprehensive software for teaching soccer tactics and strategies was designed and produced for Persian language users. It was taught to 10 soccer coaches of Isfahan with a grad I and higher AFC coaching certificate in a 4-hour educational session. At the end of the session, the standard questionnaire of "Attitudes, satisfaction, and Usage in the Acceptance of IT" (ASUAI) was administered for them. ASUAI is a 5-point Likert scale which can capture four constructs of job-advantages, suitability, and ease of use, and satisfaction with application of computer software’s. Internal consistency of the questionnaire was examined by intraclass correlation and was acceptable (Cronbachʹs ?= 0/ 915). Data were statistically analyzed using one-sample t-test. Results: For all four dimensions of the software (job-advantages, suitability, ease of use, and satisfaction), coaches assessed it as good or excellent (p ? 0.01). The statistical data analyzed by single-sample t-test. Conclusion: Soccer is a complicated game with many confusing game plans and tactics. Soccer game plans and formations are getting more and more complex as time goes forward. Tactical and strategic plans of soccer could be communicated with players more successfully with the use of multimedia. This study showed that Isfahani soccer coaches believed application of technologies such as simulation and animation was easy and made the teaching enjoyable, creative, and more accurate and successful.
