Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between Perceived power sources of Coaches and Satisfaction of Iranian Elite Judokas, which was carried out by a correlation method. The statistical population of this study comprised the entire Judokas of pro League in Iran. Statistical sample set of which is comprised 125 Judokas. In order to collect information demographic questionnaires, power in sport Questioner (PSQ) and Athleteʹs Satisfaction Questionnaire (ASQ) were used. Descriptive methods were used to analyze the data and in order to determine the relationship a multiple variable regression was used. Data analysis results showed that there is a significant relationship between the Perceived power sources of Coaches and the playerʹs satisfaction (p < 0.01). Also, the findings showed that there is a significant positive relationship between power sources of Reward power and Referent power on the one hand, and the athleteʹs satisfaction (p < 0.05), on the other. But, there was no correlation between the sources of legitimate power, Expert power and Coercive power types of power on the one hand and the satisfaction of the players, on the other (p > 0.05). Generally power sources of coaches are important and predictive factor in athlete’s satisfaction. Hence we can say that coaches can play an important role in forming the athlete’s satisfaction.
