Abstract :
The present paper is devoted to the analysis of the behavior of a composite reinforced cylinder under various loadings. More precisely, we present an optimization procedure which aims to choose the most efficient values of the geometric parameters defining the composite reinforcements and the most efficient position of the stiffeners on the surface of the cylinder. Finally a reliability study is conducted which confirms the procedure presented.
