Analysis of FRP confined columns under eccentric loading

A new model for FRP confined concrete columns is applied for eccentrically loaded circular and centrically loaded rectangular cross-sections. A good agreement was found between the calculations and both our own experimental data and those found in the literature. The shortcomings of the existing models are demonstrated. Based on our calculations a simplified model is also developed.
