A note on galvanostatic time-lags

An expression for the galvanostatic time-lag associated with transport through a slab membrane involving only steady-state quantities is derived, which, being based only on the conservation of mass condition, is independent of any assumed transport equation. Some examples of its application to heterogeneous media of practical importance are given.
