Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present an application of the local electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (LEIS) technique for local characterization of membranes. A membrane consisting of polyvinylchloride (PVC), plasticized with bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate and doped with tetradodecylammonium tetrakis(4-chlorophenyl)borate has been investigated for uniform conductivity over the specimen surface. Local impedance measurements have been conducted in electrolyteless conditions and enabled mapping of the membrane resistance versus measurement electrode position.
