Abstract :
Hollow-fiber hybrid molecularly imprinted polymer (HFHMIP) membranes embedded molecularly imprinted polymeric spheres (MIPS) were prepared. For preparation of the MIPS, Divinylbenzene (DVB) and Bisphenol A Dimethacrylate (BADM) as cross-linker and functional monomer, respectively, were copolymerized by two-step modified precipitate polymerization (TSMPP) method. The hollow-fiber membranes were fabricated using dry–wet spinning technique in the presence of the MIPS. The properties of the membranes and the MIP spheres having core–shell characteristic were studied. The uses of resultant membranes for separation of bisphenol A (BPA) and its derivatives were also conducted by perm-selective experiments showing that the resultant imprinted hollow-fiber membranes were excellent absorbents for separation of BPA and its derivatives.
