Phase boundaries of the φ-Al10Cu10Fe1 phase

The equilibria of the φ-Al10Cu10Fe1 phase in the Al–Cu–Fe system were studied by magnetothermal analysis and metallographic investigations. Based on the data of the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, it is reconfirmed that the φ-phase forms via a polymorphous reaction at 650 °C. This φ-phase is found in equilibrium with the i-, η-, β-, ε-and ω-phases; several solid-state reactions were observed in equilibrated alloys. The φ-phase exhibits diamagnetic behavior. Diagrams were elaborated for equilibria with the φ-phase.
