Abstract :
[N3NF]W(Ph) and [N3NF]W(3,5-Me2C6H3) ([N3NF]3−=[(C6F5NCH2CH2)3N]3−) react with one equivalent of CO to yield the η2 acyl complexes, [N3NF]W(COPh) (1a), and [N3NF]W(CO-3,5-Me2C6H3) (1b), while [N3N]MoMe ([N3N]3−=[(Me3SiNCH2CH2)3N]3−) reacts with CO to give what is believed to be a simple CO adduct, [N3N]Mo(CO)Me, and then with additional CO, a species that has been identified as the dicarbonyl complex, [N(CH2CH2NSiMe3)2CH2CH2NC(Me)(OSiMe3)]MO(CO)2, in which three equivalents of CO have been incorporated.
