Abstract :
The reactions of lithium silenolates (Me3Si)2LiSiCOR (R=OCy, OAd, Mes) with benzophenone afforded 1,3-dioxa-2-silacyclopentanes as the major products. The crystal structure of a 1,3-dioxa-2-silacyclopentane was determined by an X-ray diffraction study.
