Reactivity of the bis(allyl)-ruthenium(IV) dimer [{Ru(η3:η3-C10H16)(μ-Cl)Cl}2] (C10H16=2,7-dimethylocta-2,6-diene-1,8-diyl) towards dppf (dppf=[Fe(η5-C5H4PPh2)2]) and dppfO (dppfO=[Fe(η5-C5H4PPh2)(η5-C5H4P(O)Ph2)])

The bis(allyl)-ruthenium(IV) derivative [{Ru(η3:η3-C10H16)(μ-Cl)Cl}2] reacts with dppf and dppfO to yield complexes [{Ru(η3:η3-C10H16)Cl2}2(μ-dppf)] and [Ru(η3:η3-C10H16)Cl2(κ1-P-dppfO)], respectively. The electrochemical data of these complexes are reported.
