Abstract :
Phosphonium alcoholates obtained by treatment of dimethylmethylene-[tris(dimethylamino)]phosphorane (1) with an excess of alcohol polymerize cyclic siloxanes (D4) at room temperature. The thermal lability of this system permits simplifies polymer purification.
