Abstract
The [2]boraferrocenophane [(η5-C5H4)–B(NMe2)–B(NMe2)–(η5-C5H4)Fe] (1) was obtained from the reaction of FeCl2 and (Me2N)2B2(η1-C5H5)2 as a diborane(4) based ligand precursor in very good yields and fully characterized in the solid by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
