Abstract :
Amorphous Fe-based ribbons of the composition Fe73.5Si13.5B9Nb3Cu1 have been nanocrystallized using conventional heat treatment at 550 °C for 60 min. Nanostructured ribbons have been irradiated using pulsed Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm). To investigate the pinning effect, different energies have been used to illuminate the ribbons. Pinning behavior has been studied using magnetoimpedance data. It has been shown that an increase in laser beam energy makes the pinning centers more effective.
