Laser action and gain and attenuation properties of the 1D photonic crystal structure with active and passive layers

We present the results of calculations of the spectral characteristics of finite length 1D PC with air–glass-doped layers. For these calculations we used the transfer matrix formalism. The results of calculations of laser power are presented on the dependence from gain.
