Abstract :
After seven years keeping mechanically alloyed TM25Se75 samples under ambient conditions, these samples were re-investigated using X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and Mِssbauer spectroscopy to verify changes on structural, thermal and magnetic properties. The results point out that when selenium is mixed to transition metals to form chalcogenide alloys by mechanical alloying, its diffusion is totally inhibited and the TM-Se alloys become highly stable over time.
