Reaction sintering of multicomponent mixtures for producing ceramics containing zirconia

The effect of heat treatment on the phase evolution of the reaction sintering of zircon, clay, alumina and Mg(OH)2 mixed powders were investigated. Final microstructures including porosities are correlated to the strength.
