Abstract
In the European Union, within a few years, a new Directive will rule the construction of pressure equipment. This Directive will have a large impact not only on the construction of pressure equipment, but also on in-service inspection, although this will remain under the control of national regulations. © 1999 Published by Elsevier Science S.A.
