Abstract :
Supercritical extraction of Tarfayaʹs oil shale by toluene revealed that the solvent proportion has a significant effect on the yield and the composition of the obtained oils. The analyses carried out on the recovered oils allowed to establish the optimal operating conditions giving the highest oil yields. In addition, it was observed that these oils contain a large proportion of aromatics compounds.
