2-(p-Nitrophenylthioureido)-3-aminonaphtho-1,4-quinone as a water tolerant F− anion probe

Title probe favored by cooperative binding of three NH sites and entropy enhancement due to release of water molecules during complex formation with F− ion, selectively detects F− ion, both as TBAF or KF salts in competitive aqueous DMSO (1:9) solution using UV–Vis spectroscopy and visible to naked eye.
