Abstract
A novel and simple procedure is designed to prepare well-dispersed Au nanoparticles on multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The morphology and structure of the as-prepared Au/MWNTs nanocomposite were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). Au nanoparticles effectively anchored on MWNTs. The excellent electrocatalytic activity of the Au/MWNTs nanocomposite for the oxidation of dopamine was studied by voltammetry.
