Abstract :
In order to identify the tolerant and sensitive cultivars in winter rapeseed an experiment was conducted in factorial based on randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications. First factor was including 12 winter rapeseed cultivars and the second factor was including different levels of water deficit stress. Water deficit stress was imposed from stem elongation to physiological maturity. Moreover, gypsum blocks were used to control the soil moist. The results indicated that MP, GMP and TOL were the most favorable indices under severe and mild water deficit stresses. According to those indices, SLM046 and Orient were the most tolerant cultivars under severe as well as mild stress conditions while Fornax was the most sensitive cultivar under both conditions. On the other hand the results of simple correlation analysis among drought tolerance indices showed that Yp had significant positive correlation with Ys, MP, GMP and STI under both stresses conditions but the correlation of Yp with TOL was negative and significant. The correlation of Ys with MP GMP and STI were significant and positive under both conditions, but it had negative and significant correlation with TOL and SSI. Therefore, MP, GMP and STI can be used as appropriate indices in plant breeding programs to identify the tolerant and sensitive cultivars under drought stress.
